QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS FOR FOSTER CHILD GRANT

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must submit 13 digit bar coded identity of applicant
  • Court order indicating foster care status
  • Must have valid RSA, 13 digit ID number in respect of the applicant and each child or applicant proof of identity
  • Foster child must pass the means test

Note: The income of foster parents will not be taken into consideration
